The official instructions I got From the Axxera website. It did work.
1. Preparation
1) Download the matching firmware file for your stereo model and save it to your computers
desktop. The files are zip-compressed and you will need to unzip it onto your PC.
2) Copy the dvdrom.bin file to a blank USB flash drive.
2. Update
1) Power stereo on.
2) Insert USB flash drive into USB port of Axxera stereo.
3) Touch the Green checkmark icon to begin update.
Warning: Do not disrupt power during update process.
The stereo will automatically turn off when update is complete.
4) When stereo turns off the update is complete. Remove USB flash drive
