We have been RVing with two Abyssinians (ruddy and blue) for 20 years (four different cats). We have never had one escape. We only worry about a blue streak out the door at filling stations. We shut them up in the bedroom for the short time when gassing up. They are both chipped and always have harnesses with tags on when traveling. They ride in or on their cat houses when on the road and reside on the dash or on the bed when parked.
