Update.
All is still working perfectly, and it works through the stupid internal TPMS sensor on the f150.

I tried it on my car trailer and the tire signal reached the monitor in a short bed truck just fine.
Oddly, it somehow senses pressure changes (my guess) in the cab of the truck.
It beeps when I open the door and occasionally if I roll down the window. A single beep, but how do it know?

Different companies make slightly different units that show different tire pressure ranges.
My little expeditionary vehicle will require a unit that goes down to 12psi and some of you will need a unit that goes to 130psi.
All are available.
