Whenever you are on shore or gen always make sure your use/store switch is in the use (on) position. Thi ensures (assuming all systems are working correctly) that the coach converter (battery charger) is connected to the batteries. Of course there could be other reasons for this charging to not work as well.


The best thing for all RVers is to purchase a digital mulitmeter and learn how to use it. Then use the voltmeter portion to actually measure your battery voltage and see if the charging system(s) is working to charge batteries or not. Typical wet cell full charge is 12.6vdc (when not charging; light or not loaded). When charging you should see 13vdc or higher approximately. If not then something is wrong; time to investigate.
