We bought two metal rods that were meant to hold shelving brackets (about half an inch wide and four or five feet long) and used white duct tape to stick them at the edges of the shower walls. They run vertically up each edge, and you can't really see them against the white walls.

A few magnets hold the shower curtain against one of the rods all the time, and then I use a few more to stick the other end of the shower curtain against the second rod after I get in. It was the only way I could think to keep the curtain closed, but it did not fix the icky clingy plastic shower curtain problem. I'm liking the pool noodle or thin wire suggestions in this thread!
