Mickey:
It’s been nearly 2 years since I fixed the seat arm, so it’s difficult for me to remember and explain.
1) remove the arm
2) wear a good headlight and carefully inspect how the mechanism works
3) find a small piece of hard plastic or metal that can fit inside the space where the welded steel pin hits the bump-stop
4) using needle nose pliers and your fingers, place the small “add-on” spacer in the location where it’s needed
5) you need a good sticky substance to permanently adhere the spacer where it’s needed
6) let dry overnight, then re-assemble
7) if re-assembled arm is still too low or now too high, do the entire process again
Good luck.
