I took the dash apart to get to the radio. Some of the studs holding the dash in place had popped. The plastic trim was broken. As I expected to find the radio was not supported in the back. The only thin holding it in was the plastic dash. No wonder it broke.

I epoxied the studs and dash back together. Used JB Weld epoxy, moved the vent hoses where they should be, reinstalled the radio c/w rear support, and reinstalled the dash. I don’t know if I used the proper epoxy for this, however another trip home on the I-5 will show and deficiencies.
