This is not the time to insist on large, double-blind studies to wait to approve this application of already authorized medicines in the fight against this new virus. Now that it's been approved for this use we will get the results on how effective it really may be in this ongoing live study. If it's not the miracle drug against this virus we'll know it soon enough. This approval has not slowed down the other research into drugs and vaccines to fight this virus, that's still ongoing as well.

I would agree with Jamie if this was some brand new drug no one has ever taken before.
I do have mixed feelings on a 'cocktail' as it may produce undesirable result in some people. And I'm not a biochemical engineer.
Fortunately, these drugs are already approved for other purposes and studies have shown they may help. I would limit to right to try patients but to whom these drugs are given ahs not been divulged yet. Maybe it has and I missed it in the soup of everything else.
