One other thing - you'll need continuous 12v power to the RVI3 while towing. The JL front lighter plug is only powered when ignition is on. You can run an extension to the back lighter plug, or add this easy CoolTech adapter to convert the front plug:

I planned to use the 12V outlet in the back that is always on. I have an extension picked out on Amazon. But I will take a look at this option as well.
