the 'summer months' with both heat AND humidity can create issues, if the air is running 'all night', as you suggest. As the humidity and 'morning dew' start settling very heavily, it's common for any air unit to struggle. Your unit does not have it's own 'temp control', as it's either ON, or it's OFF, so the compressor is ALWAYS engaged if on the 'Low' or 'High' cooling settings.
