I have a small 'hot dog' style - Campbell Hausfeld 110psi max - between 2 and 3 gallon (can't see the label at the moment)...
Picked up at Flea Market in Lexington, KY for $35. They had a variety of sizes/styles at reasonable prices.

What you need depends on use...
  • What is max PSI you need to fill?
(my RV tires are 82 - so 110 covers it.)
  • How much volume do you need?
(How fast you want it to fill - I don't expect mine will fill an empty tire quickly - but typically looking to 'top off' - or fill bicycle/scooter tires - or blow out water lines)
  • What space do you have?
(I chose the 'hot dog' or 'horizontal' style because it fit in an available opening in utility bay... Bolted in place to metal shelf and just connect power and airline when needed. The 'pancake' just didn't fit for me - but would certainly do the job.)

The regulator (I expect most come with one) is necessary if you want to blow out water lines - to not over-pressurize...

This is the configuration of mine - might not be the exact unit:
Campbell Hausfeld 3 Gal. Horizontal Air Compressor-FP209499AV - The Home Depot
