I responded to your PM with a reply detailing my purchase experience.

I bought the Axis specifically since I thought it was small enough to be maneuverable in rustic campsites and not too cumbersome to pull into a grocery store parking lot. We don't do a lot of sightseeing trips while camped which might be the biggest reason to have a toad.

If we decide we need to go somewhere while camped, we should be able to get going (no hookups in rustic SP, NP, USFS campsites) in a few minutes and maybe less time than it takes to unhook a toad each time you camp.

I think that the new 7.3 liter V8 delivered in new Axis should easily be up to the task of towing a small toad. That engine is used in Ford vehicles with 5,000 more GVWR than the Axis, less than a small toad will add.

Good luck on your search.

David
