When I scaled my Axis 3 Years ago I was like 4900# front axle and 7600 # rear axle (so almost 4 ton on the rear axle alone). 12,500 gross fully loaded (Water, Fuel, People + Stuff etc).

Maybe use a 2nd bottle jack (rated at 6 ton to be safe) on top of leveling blocks in place of a standard saftey jack? I would test this out in my driveway first before trying it on the road to make sure its secure. Just a tought.
