So I assume that is an ACE 29.2?
The bedroom radio will shut off (as well as almost all DC loads) by placing the USE/STORE (battery disconnect) switch in the STORE (disconnected) position. When that radio has power, even when it's turned off, the LED will be lit. Most people go into the radio's settings and set the LED brightness level to "0" which turns it off.
