you don't say what year model your Palazzo is, but either way you'll have a Magnum Remote ME-RC Panel, or similar control, that provides for your AGS(Automatic Generator Starter), which is a TERRIFIC tool when traveling, parking off-grid, or just as a back-up to your loss of power at a campground, etc.

There is no 'timer', per se, but what you are referring to is either a VOLTAGE trigger, such as when your battery levels fall below a certain level, to recharge them, OR a TEMPERATURE trigger, such as when you want the generator to start in order to provide power to the Air Conditioner(s).
The only timer that comes into play has to do with how 'long' the generator will then run. You can set it for 30 minutes, 1 hours, 2 hours, etc. It will then cut off automatically, until the generator is triggered by the AGS again.

As you make use of the AGS, you'll grow accustomed to how it works, and how best to customize the settings to meet your needs, which can vary dependent on the situation. Sometimes you may want the AGS to start the generator, more often, and run for a shorter length of time, and other situations might call for a longer wait for the trigger, and a longer run time.
One tool to also be aware of is the SHORE MAX setting on your Magnum controller. It provides for the amount of 'amps' to the Battery Charger whenever the generator is running, or even when you are on shore power. The importance comes into play especially when off-grid, since if you are employing the AGS to recharge the batteries when they fall below a certain level, such as 12.0, you want AS MUCH of the power to go to the Battery Charger as possible - such as 30 amps or more. If though, you want to also be able to make use of both air conditioners running and using the microwave whenever the AGS triggers the generator, you might consider then setting the SHORE MAX to a lower number such as 20 or less, so that the generator's own breakers are not tripped due to over amperage.

Remember: the generator has it's own breaker(s) on the generator itself. If you lose power, even though the generator is running, likely those breaker(s) have tripped.
