It is not a kinked line because it is PEX going into the shower faucet. However, the fixtures used are very cheaply made. When you have a single handle faucet, the cartride can leak so the hot or cold does not fully shut off in the furtherest postions. This can be either from loosening of the cartridge, a bad seal or debris in sealing area (common in these coaches with construction debris).

If any cold water leaks and mixes with the hote when using the tankless hot water, it will cause the temp to plummet.
