Lap shear comes into play under extreme stress. Diesel engines have much more mechanical stresses than gas engines due to the torque generated by them. So I do not use synthetic oil in diesel engines.

RV dealer used 10w30 on Mercedes sprinter for my leisure travel van 25’MH
This time I used 5w40 manual said both are ok my mechanic said it’s okay in Ohio , i was in Florida’s mechanics used mobile 1 10 w 30 they say all ok according to the Mercedes 2013 blue tech turbo, so what’s the best
