On my little Class-C, Thor put the water pump in the electrical compartment, under the rear dinette seat. Not too awful for access, but the FW tank is under the front dinette seat, a distance of over 9 feet horizontal and 2 feet vertical. The pump was unable to self-prime because it is designed to be no more than 3 feet from the water source. Go Thor!

Besides that, I wasn't thrilled with having my water pump and strainer in the same compartment with my ATS, converter, inverter, 120vac breaker panel, 12vdc fuse panel, and CO detector.

I moved the pump to the same compartment with the FW tank where it belongs. Lots of room in there and easier to get to. It took me a whole weekend to rewire and replumb everything, but it was worth it. Now I can fill my FW from City Water just by turning a valve.

Why didn't Thor do that? Laziness?
