Sure I do it all the time. I don't have an inverter in my motorhome, so the only way to keep things cold is on propane. They say at gas stations and some tunnels. I'm not sure if many turn them off until they get to where they are going. Like cell phones near gas pumps. I have a gas app that I pay at the pump with, I guess that is okay
