With the drawer pulled all the way out, look at the drawer slide mechanism on the side of the drawer. On the very end are tiny plastic "stops" which prevent the drawer from coming all the way out... they look like tiny spring loaded levers. One side you push down from the top, the opposite side pull up from the bottom. Squeeze them toward the track while pulling out on the drawer, and the drawer should release and come out.

To get it back in, just carefully line up the slides and firmly push them in. They will re-engage at a certain point, and the drawer will slide smoothly.
