We went a couple years ago, but didn't stay at the event, in my opinion it's too crowded & way too expensive. We stayed in a KOA in Bernillio just to the North on I25 & they told us to go to a mall parking lot & a shuttle picked us up & dropped us right at the gate, it was a very good plan for us & the KOA has free pancakes every morning. If we were going again I'd do it the same way, but maybe stay at the Route 66 casino about 6-8 miles west on I40, they just recently opened up their rv park & it's huge & very nice, a nice casino also if your into that.
