A few weeks ago the plastic cap on the suction strainer between the fresh tank and the pump in my coach cracked a sprang a leak. Looked as if it was put on a bit too tight at the factory.....
Anyway, I found in messing with it that any air in that when the pump would run dry and there was any air at all in that thing and the pump noise is much more severe, and this is a high point in the suction side piping. I found that if I let the pump run a while (filling my tanks up....) eventually the air would work through and the pulsating and noise would dramatically improve.
