If I decide to get solar panels I will invest in the motorized ones. I was not aware of that option.
As for roof maintenance I would like to be able to inspect those personally every month or so. I think a good extension ladder would be the better choice over those telescoping ones. I can keep it in the MH storage rather than packing it in the MH.
