I had motorhome coverage through Safeco, but just last week got the annual renewal with a 12.98% premium increase. I had been paying $838 per year, for $500,000 liability with a $500 deductible and "Ultra Coverage" (full replacement cost, roadside assistance and towing, diminishing deductibles, and a number of other bells and whistles). I have a perfect driving record, and the agent said that medical claims are forcing everyone's premiums up. I did an extensive search of other insurers, and was able to get the same coverage this week through Progressive at an annual cost of $699. This amount includes a small discount for moving my park model travel trailer from Safeco to Progressive at the same time.
