Since I use it mostly when stationary, I use the suction cup and a 5 foot PVC pipe to raise a groundplainless antenna above the coach. The attraction of this method is that I can swap the antenna for a WiFi or cell data antenna as I need.
Thanks for the suggestions. I forgot about putting ferrous metal on the roof. I did that when we had an aluminum roof on our RV. I am reluctant to put anything on the rubber roof, but I could use 3M 5200 to adhere a large steel washer to the top of the fiberglass front cap on the Windsport.

I have never seen that suction cup method of attaching an antenna to a sidewall.

My next project will be to mount a Crushcraft R-7000 on the tongue of our enclosed cargo trailer for stationary use.
