The Girard tankless takes some getting used to, even if its working correctly. Ours seems to work ok, but compared to a hot water tank, its IMO idiosyncratic. Apparently using the water stop button on the shower head, confuses the heater, which in our case errors out and will not restart so I got to finish one shower with cold water. Not using that button, seems to be the answer to avoiding that issue.
