Fabric softner sheets in the compartments is an old RVer trick that has been used for years to keep critters out of your MH compartments etc. Check it out on any of the RV forums. Whatever is in the fabric sheets acts as a repellent and also keeps the compartments and drawers smelling fresh. I don't know how well they work, but I haven't had any critters in any of my MH's for the several years that I've been using them?
