Yessir jb1911. I'm no machinist or metallurgist but I had the same thoughts you did. If that plate snaps, it could at the very least cause a lot of damage to some wiring and/or brake lines, and at worst, cause an accident. I put a call in to Safe T Plus, sent them the pics, and they said ABSOLUTELY do NOT drive the motor home this way. The words they used were "dangerous situation". Just an FYI.
I should hear back from them tomorrow and will try to keep you all posted as to what they come up with.
