The only damage was superficial. It dislodged the fiberglass door trim. I was able to screw it and caulk/glue it back in place myself. It looks good as new and we have had no problems with it since then. Of course I'm more careful now when I back into camp sites. The Axis is not designed for off road camping. But, as long as you are not planing on boondocking in remote areas, I don't think you will have problems with the step. Just look out for stumps!
