Did you do the Velcro along the upper bed in a straight line?? If you have the stick Velcro you don't have to use the glue do you??

I added some extra velco pads on the A B pillars on ours to help keep the curtain tighter along the cab windows. The glue on the back of the velco stuck ok but the weight of the curtain would pull it loose over a day or two. Some clear Gorilla glue on the Velcro and it now stays fine.

Glued velcro to the comforter. Depending on your situation put the sticky velcro where it made sense on the coach. Comforter was pretty light so I used 4 1.5" strips across the top only. 8000 miles and going strong.

You only have to start undressing a couple of times in front of an uncovered window: you'll have all sorts of people showing up to help you figure out a solution!

We've used them three times. Each time was for a car at our home that broke down, twice for our son's car and once for ours. Service was quick, courteous and from a different tow company each time. All 3 were loaded onto flat bed and taken to repair shop. So far have never had to call for the motor home.

Window shades

I purchase the over the counter sun shades at Walmart in the jumbo size for front windshield and overlap for coverage and keep heat out. Then use the car double ones connected for the side windows and corners of the windshield. It gets very hot inside in the desert! Easy to put up and take down any where. I turn off the engine and start to put them up. I’ll use more at night or longer stays. Use them on sidecwindows too under shades. I use this method even over thick magnet window covers to repell heat.

Don't know if these work in a Class C, they are great in our Windsport. Cost about $200 for us.

Privacy curtains

We solved the problem 2 ways. First, bought shade cloth at Home Depot and cut it to fit the windshield. We use it during the day for privacy and to cut heat intrusion. Secondly, went to the fabric store and bought vinyl. Used the shade cloth as a pattern and cut the vinyl to fit the windshield. We se the vinyl at night for total privacy and we use it while storing the RV. Both are held on with industrial Velcro.
However, we found the Velcro will not stay on the windshield glass. It gets hot and the glue melts! It will stay on any metal frame as on the side windows.
For the windshield, I had to put small screws into the windshield header above the glass to hold the Velcro. Unobtrusive and it never falls down now.

A bit of work but not too expensive. Well worth it.

We do, like a extra insurance policy if God forbid something happens, especially since we travel with two small dogs. We let it lap a month at renewal times, they drop the price to get us to sign up.

ScottB I was on this site looking for answers and hope you can help. I'm a new RV owner....purchased a Four Winds 2018 28e. It has the two "velcro button circles" on the padded area. I didn't think I had the correct privacy curtain and FINALLY just was sent another and it is exactly the same. It is 30inches high and 138" long. I have NO CLUE how this installs. I don't really see any velcro tabs in the cab area to attach this to. Have you possibly got any photos? I feel stupid but NO one has been able to help at Thor and I purchased the RV 9 hours away from where I live.

CWFUQUAY,
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble getting answers. My 31W has 10 Velcro spike circles about 1” diameter. There are 2 screwed into headliner trim at each end of sunvisor, 2 over each door frame (one in top middle and one in top back corner, and 1 on each panel in back of seat. I have attached pictures of Velcro tab, entire installed curtain and curtain over driver’s door. If you need pictures of tab locations without curtain, let me know.

Thanks for responding Scott. I have only two of those buttons.....On the padded "arch" divider between the coach and driver cab. (one on each side of archway exactly where your curtain attaches at beginning and end). There are no more....none over the cab door, visor etc. Are the ones you mention in the additional areas the same "buttons" as the one in the first photo?

Yes Velcro buttons are all the same and attach with the sheet metal screw in the center of the button. I was missing one button over the passenger door at delivery which was installed by the dealer. Since the button is a metal disk, care should be taken not to tighten the screw too much or the disc may rip the vinyl headliner which happened when the dealer replaced my missing one. I would have put a felt pad behind the button to protect the vinyl.

...Until you fall down the exit stairs in the dark, accidentally hit the door latch, and end up nekkid in a heap by your picnic table!

LOL! I actually saw that happen years ago in a campground. A couple rushed into a pop-up camper in the middle of the day and zipped up all the window flaps. Shortly after the canvas on one end bulged out and a "tangled mass" hit the ground.
OH THE HUMANITY!

I laughed until my sides ached!!!!!!

Best part was watching them try to get back inside! They had locked the door for privacy and ..... well they didn't bring any pockets outside with them for the keys!
