Congratulations!
Take along a notepad:
Jot down the info about how to operate all of the systems.
You'll probably be in some sort of "information overload meltdown"; so it might not be a bad idea to write down all of the functioning systems tonight...
While you're at it: make sure that they prove to you that each system functions properly!!
Take it for a test drive; listen for squeaks, rattles, groans, clunks, bumps, whines and whistles...
Be sure to ask about each and every one of them.
Write down, and point out to them: any cosmetic issues that you want them to fix for you. It helps to take pictures of them!
The best of luck to you during the delivery process!

This has been stated many times in this forum. Make them show you how "everything" works while you are standing there, including, water hook up, sewer dump, water pump, generator, sliders... You may want to discuss the front end alignment issue when you take it for another test drive, but don't know how far they will cooperate.

listen to anyone who has information, but slow down and take your time as you'll certainly NOT remember everything that might be said, pointed at, or noted. RVing is many times an education unto itself, and you'll certainly learn many more things WHILE you're RVing versus someone just pointing them out to you and giving you a quick explanation.
Certainly, ask as many questions as you wish...but a good choice is to allow them to give you a cursory 'walk thru', but then send them on their way, at least for several hours, as they have other things to attend to as well, and you'll have a good while to 'soak' in all the new things to be concerned about. Use all the functions, sliders, electrical systems, and take it for several test drives. Crank the generator and see if everything is working under it's power. Cut everything off and make sure the Inverter, if you have one, is powering everything that it's supposed to.
Put down the leveling jacks, bring them back up, etc.
Don't RUSH it! Even spend the night, or several, in the dealership lot, or nearby campground, while you really put everything thru it's paces - add water to the tank, use the water pump, take a shower, make sure the water heater is 'heating'... eetc.
have fun

It is best to spend a at least 24 hours at the dealer checking out everything in the coach while living in the coach. When the delivery prep tech arrives (NOT the salesman), start recording. A smart phone with a big chip is best. Go through every drawer, turn the water pump and find out where it is located. Operate the water heater until you get good hot water. Check the furnace and the A/C letting both run for at least 20 minutes (I know it is hot). Check window coverings and how they operate the, check that the slide(s) move in and out smoothly several times. I could go on but there are about 200 items on a PDI that should be covered including engine and transmission maintenance, fuse location, how to dump correctly, etc. The better dealers will provide you with a PDI checklist. Don't be intimidated or rushed, it is your money. You will forget or not remember correctly about 50% of what the tech tells you; thus the video record of the PDI. Don't leave the dealer's lot unless every question has been answered and everything in the coach is working to you satisfaction. Never, never feel rushed.

And...most important, don't write the check or sign the papers until you're satisfied that all is in great working order and you feel very comfortable with how everything operates. Run the slides in and out a good many times. He who holds the money is in control. Once you sign...you'll be amazed how their faces and attitudes towards helping you will change. Do not let them "close" without first doing the walk-thru...period!!! AND...don't fall prey to extended warranties, paint protectants, etc.!!

When you accept the RV, make an appointment 45 days after that to work all the other things you find. We did a pretty thorough PDI and still had 13 items on our warranty sheet after 45 days. Some things just don't show themselves until you really use them. Be sure to give it a good test in the first 45 days. Be prepared to wait because nothing seems to happen very quickly at any RV dealer (some are quicker than others). Be patient through the repairs of the poor construction process and you can enjoy your RV for years. Congrats on the new purchase, safe travels.

I agree with all of the above. Take your time and think about trying everything out in different scenarios. We spent two nights in ours to make sure everything worked properly. When we arrived at the dealership the coach was already hooked up to electric and city water. During the PDI he showed us how to use the generator and switch to use the fresh tank, but we never disconnected from electric and water hookups to try it out. The first time we were going to take it where we needed the fresh water tank, it didn't work. Turned out the water line was pinched under the fresh water tank - thus the city water worked, but not the fresh water.

I was gonna post a long diatribe on RV dealers, PDIs and warranty work but changed my mind. Good luck and congratulations on your new purchase.

There is a ton of sage advice in this thread, but 2 items caught my attention...we are still in the investigation process, so I ask this as a real rookie...
1. Don't write the check until you are satisfied that all of the systems are functioning and
2. Take your time...even spend a night or 2 at the dealer to test it out.
Did you guys spend the night before you wrote the check?

Welcome to the site.
I doubt any dealer will let you spend the night in it before you give them a check. Many dealers, however, do have a spot to camp overnight after you've completed the purchase so you can try stuff out and add to your punch list.
