Power Awning question

Hello all, we have a 2015 Challenger 37KT that has two power awnings. One mounted to the slide the other to the roof. The front one that is attached to the roof is very high. I thought of lowering it using the adjustment pins. Question I have is can I close the awning with the pins set (both sides) at there lowest position, or must they be moved back to there highest position before retracting that awning?

Thanks

KC

I'm not 984% sure ; but the awning should just reel itself in, and suck back up to the side of the rig: regardless of how the pins are set...

But don't follow me: I'm lost too!

It does depend on the brand. I have seen some that allow for the awning to roll up BUT only in specific holes. Google you awning brand and model and look for a manual online.

I tryed doing a search, because awhile back someone posted great infromation about this with a video link. If I remember go to youtube and do a search for Thor and you might find it.

The pins are to give the awning tilt when open, as to have the rain go to one side. When rolling up the pins can not be more than two holes difference. It makes no difference which holes the pins are in as long as not to far apart when rolling up.

Just give it a try. Watch as it comes in. If it starts to bind, push it back out and adjust

ours is at the 'lowest' setting, and rolls in just fine - Carefree of Colorado brand, Travel'r model, I believe.
We even have a full privacy/sun shade that rolls up with it... nice.
