Vegas door lock
I know I’ve asked, and it’s been answered in various places ad nauseum, but I am admittedly confused so I’m asking one last time.
I have a 2016 Vegas, I had to change the entire lock on the door because a piece busted inside, and we were trapped inside the RV, and my new keys have a 4 digit number on them. Do I have to change the whole thing again with a newer, metal lock? Or is there a retro-fit something? My door is, once again, not shutting properly- it sometimes bounces off the jamb instead of sliding shut. Does that make sense?
Anyway, I’m sorry for asking yet again, but I promise not to ask a third (or is it 4th or 5th?) time. You’re all the best. 😁

You could always swap out the lock with a non-trimark lock. The Bauer one is a drop in replacement BP-12RV.
I put one on our Axis; didn't even have to replace the striker plate.

Sweet. Thank you. I was able to do the lock switch myself, so next time I’m at Camping World I’ll pick up a Baur.

To eliminate the “bouncing”, adjust the two long “pegs” with an Allen wrench by turning them counter clockwise so they slip into to their respective slots in the jam.

Well, our lock finally broke as well. I purchased the Bauer Products BP-12RV. However, it didn't fit! It went in fine, but when I tried to close the door, the metal posts were too long. Not by much, maybe an 1/8 of an inch, but they are hitting the door frame and not going into the latch.
Are these posts adjustable? On the lock side, there are 2 Allen screws but are extremely tight so not sure if they are made to be removable.
We have a 2015 Vegas 25.1
Thanks
John

Yes you should be able to adjust those posts to your door frame.

Simply use a hex wrench to adjust the two posts; clockwise to shorten them if they strike the door frame or the reverse if they don’t slide into their respective slots. Easy Peazy!

We finally finished this project. Our lock broke on the lock side, not the deadbolt. The first picture is of the Tri-Mark with the broken lock.
When we tried the Bauer Product, the BP-12RV would fit the opening but the door would not close.
I know a couple of you thought it might be adjustable, but after talking with the Bauer folks, it is not. It may be adjustable on the tri mark, but not on the Bauer.
Below are the pictures of the Bauer vs. the Tri Mark. The Allen screws on the Bauer are not adjustable.
Bauer sent me a spacer kit to try and see if it would give me enough room for the door. While the kit solved the post issue, it would not go completely in the door opening.
I contacted Bauer once again and they make a “short post” version of the BP-12RV. They sent me that version and it works perfectly! And, it looks better imo.
I highly recommend the Bauer lock based on service, quality, price, and look.
Also, change it before it breaks!

Here are the missing photos.
TriMark posts in green, Bauer in blue. And the Bauer spacers.

2017 Vegas Door Lock Keys?
My 2017 Vegas door lock is a TriMark 030-0900
So far it’s working fine and parts are available if it fails
That said...it requires 2 different keys
On the Trimark website it says...
- “Lock can be keyed to match other TriMark door products with KeyOne Plus for a single-key system, keyed alike or provided non-locking”
Has anyone changed out the lock key cylinder so that they match?
If so, what’s the process??
Thank you Forum.

I called Trimark
The short answer is NO
Two unique keys are required for this handle
The guy who invented this system got promoted
