31S quick mods.

Still getting to know our new 31S. What I thought was water hammer was just some of the pipes rattling in the storage bays. Simply slid some lengths of pipe insulation over them.

Also replaced the black tank rinse fitting flap plug with a screw-in plug. Makes for less excess water in the wet Bay.

Same plug used on some TTs/RVs for the city water connection.

There is no check valve in the hose connection and every time I disconnect the hose I got a lot of water in the bay. I added this extension I got from Lowe's along with a quick disconnect to make it easier.

Added a blackout panel at the shower using a tension rod. Blocks much of the brightness coming from the skylight and increases privacy. Click image for larger version

Going on 5 months and 7 trips with the new 31S. Have added custom fit carpet to the front cab area. No problems other than finding sagging of the rear storage compartment floor; reinforced with additional stainless screws. Handles surprisingly well but still want to try the CHF.

I think you'll find the CHF well worth the time and effort. Get some poly bushing lube and do them at the same time since you're under there anyway.

Made paper templates and had my local carpet shop cut and bind. Premium carpet and rubber padding.

That looks really good! I would imagine it also helps with heat and sound from the floor.
