Vegas Table storage

I did a search for this but could not find it. We took delivery of our 2017 Vegas 25.2 about a month ago. When we got it, almost all the little clips to hold the tables in the closet storage were either broken, or pulled out.
The way they are made I am not surprised. The dealer told me Thor will replace them but they don't have a fix that is better.
I have an idea how to make a better system but would like to see what others have done, if anything.
Thanks

Broken storage clips?

My new to me 2016 doesn't have the storage clips and I was planning on ordering them. Are they really that prone to breaking? If so, I'd be very interested in hearing your suggestions.

Sage the system Thor has for storing tables looks like it was designed by a 5 year old. They're very flimsy and destined to fail. I will be adding additional supports for mine.

Sforl could not have said it better.

I am planning on adding a little 1x1 wood rail Glued/screwed to the bottom of the closet. The table will sit behind the rail. At the top another rail will be added just above the table, then a proper latch can be installed on that rail.

The factory clips are little plastic turn knobs less than a 1/4 inch held to the paneling with a single #8 screw. If they don't pull out they will break.

I can't believe Thor even bothers to put them in as they have to know they are going to fail.

Vegas Table storage

I used nylon straps and bought a set of snaps and screwed into the header of the closet for strength sidewalls are very weak of the closet. I didn't mount the small table we use it while traveling.

We have a 2026 with no clips here either. Was thinking g about getting some clips for the tubular legs, but still trying to find a good way to store the table tops

don't need a table like this flying around so it was the first thing to go.ordered another matching oval table. they both go between folding mattress when traveling.when stopped for night 1 goes between seats the other in front of sofa.more room this way.

That's a very creative solution !
I wonder if there's enough room in the drop down bed for the tables? I'm not sure how much room there is up there when the bed is fully retracted. I'll check that out next time I get to the MH.

I couldn't agree more… Our is 24.1 table storage clips are just ridiculous. We have a mattress solution too…It's a bit of a pain, but I store the long table underneath the mattress if the twin bed on the bathroom side. I've permanently removed the top of one of the storage areas underneath. That allows Space for the post holders so the table will lie flat. Unfortunately it really is a two person job , someone to hold up the mattress while the other slides it under. My solution until we can get some decent clips made. Ugh.

We store our long table under the couch.

I did something similar only I didn't completely frame the tables! I put a stop at the bottom and glued and screwed a 1 1/4" x 7" along the sides! I used the same type latch you used! Works great!
I can't imagine why Thor couldn't come up with a system that actually works!

Ours has table storage under the sofa, which works, but we bought a 2nd free standing table, which stores nicely behind the sofa.

Left large table home. Stored small table along with tube support in drop down bunk in our 2016 Vegas 25.2. Just retuned from 5 week western tour.
Never missed the large table. There is just two of us so that helps.
