I thought that Global Warming was the next big thing on the horizon...

Seriously: pick it up after they do their "diagnostics", and use the heck out it while the parts are coming. Good luck!

Truthfully though, we couldn't use it for at least the next two weeks or more due to prior commitments. It's just irritating that several weeks of its one-year warranty will have been spent sitting on a lot, collecting dust and love bugs.

This is a great decision. Maybe one of the best you will ever do.
We had a house generator 12 or 15 K for about 14 years that would run
most everything including the heat pump on the bedroom part of the house.
It eventually died and we replaced it with a 22K unit that will power everything in the house at once including the well. Power goes off
Generac auto starts in 10 seconds and life goes on. Love it.
We live in the country and when power goes out for any reason we were without power several hours.
Hurricane comes near it's worth it's weight in Gold.
I recommend you install a 250 gallon propane tank so it will
run 24/7 for the long hall.
Good luck.

Exclamation

Talked to CW today (10/4) and they said the diagnostics work was done, Thor had approved the repairs, and the parts have been ordered. Parts are supposed to arrive on 10/15, 11 days from today. So they wanted me to pick up the MH and take it home until the parts arrive.

So, SWMBO and I hopped in the car and made the 45 minute trip to CW. Service advisor radioed for someone to bring the rig to the front. While all this was going on, she checked her email. Surprise !! My parts arrived....TODAY.

Back in the car, 45 minutes back to home.

Anybody want to hazard a guess how long it will be before repairs are done and I get the call to pick it up ?

Generator and wiring has been installed. Propane tank -250 gallon - was just delivered yesterday and piping run. Awaiting city inspection for everything to be finalized and ready for action.

We went with a 20kw Generac. It's a little larger than we really need, but it will handle everything on our system, including a pool and hot tub, with a little to spare for future needs. Like perhaps a 30 amp pedestal for the MH.

We love our Generac. It has come to the rescue so many times. Music to my ears when it starts up. We live in a electric failure prone area, happens all the time here.

Glad to hear that they got your parts quickly.
I'm guessing "two weeks".
Isn't that what they always say?

You lose. It's ready. Gonna pick it up (AFTER closely inspecting the repairs!) this afternoon.

So, it's only taken since August 19th to get 4 leaks and some cabinet carpentry repair done.
