Hooking up to cable
Hooked up to cable in Southlake RV Park in Knoxville, tried everything and yet no cable. Any tricks I’m missing ? Thank you ! Thor Vegas 2014 .

Chances are, with a 2014 with original Seiki TVs, they may not be able to receive unencrypted digital cable as they do not have a QAM tuner, just an analog cable tuner.

The TV in the bedroom is a Sanyo LED , Dolby digital, hdmi ... make a difference?

Yes, my bedroom tv receives cable ok, but had to replace the Seki in living area with another tv that has a quam tuner. Like another poster said, make sure your ant. power is turned off.........i.e. no red led on.

Yes, I had the TV antenna off ... but still nothing even on the Sanyo. Is it possible the cable is no good here ?

Yes, it could be the cable service is not there. You could ask another camper nearby if theirs is ok. If you do have cable service, I would check all my cable connections.
Also, can you get tv off your ant with the power on?

Yes, can get TV with antenna with power on. Neighbor much closer to office said cable just ok, gets 3-4 channels only. Uses Firestick. So are we now .. but really wanted to try cable especially since we are here for Thanksgiving and want to watch the football games ��!

I have been to a few parks that require you to get a cable box from them. You may want to ask the park about it.

I would check all of your connections from inside of the outside connection to the other connections. I found some loose in mine when first using.
I have been in several campgrounds like the one you are in with only a few cable chann's available and have found that more and better stations were coming in via of the ant. Hope you can watch your games today.

Try a cable direct from the campground connection to one of the TVs... (pass through window or door) May need a long cable, but easily separates a campground issue from an RV issue.
Google the particular TV model number to see if it has a QAM tuner.
Considering your neighbor only gets a few channels, I’d suspect at least the campground cable having an issue.
Hopefully the games will be available OTA there for you.

We gave up on the cable, using our firestick and bought CBS channel for 4.99 / month. Watching the game now ��. Thank you all and Happy Thanksgiving ��
