No hot water when connecting to an exterior water fill

I just bought a 2018 Thor Windsport 35m and i can figure out why i don’t have hot water. The outside shower is off as well. I am using shore power, so should i turn on the 110v Heater On? Frustrate

Read what you wrote:

Does it mean no water is flowing?
Does it mean the water flows from the hot side but it isn't hot?
Do you have the water heater on propane?
Shore power has no bearing on water flow or even hot water if the propane heating switch is on.

But, lets say just for the fun of it, you are getting water out of the hot water side of the facuets, but its not hot. 1) hot water bypass values are set to not fill the hot water tank. 2) you need to either turn the heater on by either propane or elect.

You should have switches on the control panel to select whether the hot water heater operates off propane or 110 VAC. If you are hooked to shore power be sure the water heater switch for the electric 110V is turned on.

Here's a picture of the monitor/control panel from my 2015 Vegas. Notice the bottom right switches for the water heater. If connected to shore power I turn the 110V switch to on. You should have something similar to this in your RV.

Play Hrd: When I bought my 2015 Vegas new, I was appalled by the owners manual that came with it. Using this forum, some other forums, owners comments, and my own research I compiled an in-depth owners manual for my Vegas. Over the past 3 years I have uodated and amended that manual to keep it current. It has been downloaded or I emailed a cy of it to approximately 1400 other owners.

Although it might not be specific to your Windsport, it has relevance to about 80% of the systems that are comparable to my Vegas. The manual has a bunch of checklists that also would have relevance to your Windsport.

Here's a link to the thread on the forum about the manual. The first post in the thread has a link where you can go to download the manual.

ED is spot on...I have a totally different model but the guts of all these "campers" are very similar. Print his manual and place it in your Bible. Do not leave home without it!

Ed’s Manual

I agree with Gritz Carlton. Ed’s manual is my Bible for my 2017Vegas25.4! I printed my copy from his website and put it in a nice leather bound 3 ring binder. Bless you Ed for all of your work in putting the manual together. Ray Matthews Retired LTC ARMY DENTAL CORPS

I agree... But I get the "warm and fuzzy" feeling from simply remembering to wake up each morning!

Ralph used to say "woke up not tasting dirt", but alas, he can't anymore.

Yes you have to have the 110 water heater on.

We also have similar problem...we have hot water on both gas and 110 WHEN we run the generator, BUT now our problem is when we plug into shore we don’t have hot water under gas or 110 volt...we have done all the afore mentioned stuff. Everything else works, heater, air conditioner, cooktop.
