Side view mirrors question

We are very interested in a 2015 ACE 27.1 mh, but have an important question for us. Because of where we will park our rv at our home we need/hope the side mirrors fold in when parked. Side clearance is a factor. Can someone tell us if they do?
Thanks!

Assuming Thor uses the same mirrors on the ACE as on the Axis (they look the same), then yes they do fold.

The arms are fixed, but the mirrors move. There are three set-screws at the base of each mirror. Loosening them allows the mirror to move. Swiveling it parallel to the coach results gives you quite a bit of room.

Thanks. My real concern is, how far out do the arms extend from the body. I understand I will gain some room with mirrors swiveling in, but not sure if that is sufficient. Thank you.

I just looked at this on my Ace 21.1, those 3 set screws are not easily accessed as there is a trim ring for the cameras that cover at least 2 of them. Getting the Trim Ring down looks problematic and I am letting the dealership loosen and move my drivers mirror to gain adjustment for the electric mirror motor.
The arm that the mirrors are mounted on does not move at all it is rigid and does extend out 6-8 inches from the body of the cab. If room is very tight you may have some issues with these mirrors.

I recently purchased the 27.1 and the side mirrors do not fold in. Perhaps because of the side cameras installed on them, they do not fold.

Hmm... I don't think the side cameras are the issue. On my Four Winds 31W (Class C) we have the side cameras and the side mirrors fold in nicely...

Thor uses mirrors from Velvac
RV Mirrors | West Coast Mirrors | Heavy Truck Mirrors | Velvac

At least that's what's on mine. Very likely to be on the Ace, although I'm not sure.

I would say this.... if the coach you have in mind is otherwise perfect, and only those couple inches are the show stopper, you might consider getting the coach and replacing the mirrors. You Might even find that velvac has a foldable model that would bolt right up!

I don't think the ACE or Vegas/Axis units use those Velvac mirrors. I couldn't find our mirrors anywhere on the Velvac website.
(The Vegas/Axis mirrors also do not fold in.)
Just look at the mirror of this ACE, it does not fold:

Ace Mirror

No the Ace mirror does not look anything like that 2020 mirror. I wonder if the ace mirror is interchangeable, that would be a nice mirror system to have on my unit.
