Thor axis awning

I have a 2014 Thor axis, the awning arms won't open. The motor spins the top fabric. Arms try to extend but don't.
Any suggestions?

When I had my Axis they use to stick. If I pulled just a little on them they would come out. I always thiught they needed to be lubed but never got around to it before I traded it in.

For those times when an arm sticks I just pull a little.

It may be something of an intermittent problem. I had a door awning on my former DP that would work sometimes and not sometimes. No one could ever find the problem, but its now someone else's problem.

I've read that you are not supposed to lube the awning arms; however, my awning was doing the same thing -- fabric unfurling, but arms not coming out. A bit of silicone spray on the "joints" got it functioning properly again. That was just a few weeks ago so will see how long it lasts.
