Day 26

Long day at Graceland. Made the short walk from the mh to Graceland. Got our tickets and started looking through all the buildings. House tour was at 1230

We saw skinny Elvis, fat Elvis, young Elvis, old Elvis, army Elvis, cowboy Elvis, dad Elvis, and more. Elvis overload

He was no doubt the King. It always gets me how rich and famous entertainers die from drugs. You would think someone close, family or business would step in and get them help. He died way to young

The house was pretty cool. It must have been great being there in it day. All the rooms, TVs, racketball court, beautiful grounds and the horses. Cars, motorcycles, and the two planes.

Finished at 4. Long day and my feet hurt. Great day and experience.

Day 27.

We took the drive into downtown. Did a short walk on Beale St and ate lunch at BB Kings. St Louis ribs were good

Then a long walk to the water front. Jumped on a river boat for a couple hour cruise on the Mississippi River. Emcee gave us history of the city and stories of people and buildings. Fun day

Well Maria heard about another outlet store. So off we went. About a 20 minute drive. It ended up being in Mississippi. Didn't know Memphis was so close to the southern boarder

Once we hit the road the Sky's turned ugly. And the wind was raging. No way I would have drove the my in this wind

Once we got to the stores it started raining. And it rained hard. Maria and I bought more clothes at Columbia. She wanted to see the Pandora store and no rain was going to stop her. She did the walk in the heaviest downpour

Jeff and I waited for it to slow down. Maria got her beads and back to the my we went

Good spaghetti dinner and a movie. Time for bed

Day 28

Decided to do something different today. Jeff and I went to the Memphis Zoo. Maria stayed at the mh and did laundry

Its a top rated zoo with some great exhibits. The big plus was there were little to no crowds. And the weather was cool until later in the day. The cool weather made the animals active

For me the two best exhibits were the orangutans and the grizzly bears. Of course the elephants, lions, and all the other big cats were awesome

Fun day. Jeff flys homes tomorrow morning and we drive west toward Amarillo

Day 29. Fort Smith Alma cg

Dropped Jeff off at the Memphis Airport at 7. Maria was up and had everything ready to go inside. Had a quick breakfast and shower then did the outside work

Had an easy 4 hour+ drive to Fort Smith Arkansas. Nice cg with a nice little fishing lake. Its not very busy here except for the Canadian geese. We picked a site over looking the lake. I could see myself staying here a few days. Very calm setting

Just relaxing here and looking forward to Amarillo on Thursday

We had a problem with the Bauer lock yesterday it would not unlock with the combo. I figured the batteries were bad. Replaced them but it still wouldn't unlock the door. It would turn the dead bokt galf way then stop. Locking was no problem. So we just used the key to unlock

Got to the cg and it started working again without any problems. I called Bauer and they said batteries. Asked about water and humidity and was told it shouldn't be a problem. With the rain and humidity we've had over the past 2 weeks that was my guess. No rain in the past 2 days and no humidity here in Arkansas

Day 30. Wanderlust Crossing rv

Another easy drive west. Saw a blue beacon truck wash next to the Pilot gas station while I was filling up. Called for price and wait time. To wash the mh and jeep was $48. Its pretty dirty and was going to do it but the hour+ wait was the deal breaker

I'll look for another one on our way to Amarillo

The campground is super clean. Needs more trees in between sites and it needs cable hook up. Lots of big bbqs and smokers at various sites. Wish they would fire them up. I'd be their next best friend

Yes its been a great and very busy trip. Memory maker for sure

We'll be staying 2 day in Albuquerque to visit my son and 2 days in Flagstaff just to look around

We need to get together for lunch after the trip

Day 31. Oasis cg

Short 3 hour drive to Amarillo. Oasis is a clean park and fairly busy for a Thursday. It must have been very windy we found this mh semi buried

We went to the mall for a late lunch and Maria had to stock up on stuff from Ulta

Tomorrow morning I think we'll hit up Verizon and see about getting Maria a new cell. And restock at Walmart

Day 32

Maria and I went to Verizon and got new phones. I spent a couple hours setting up the apps. What a pain

Dino, Angie, Dinos brother Dennis, Rosita, Harold and Kathy all showed up around noon. The bsing started.

We decided to do a
Pot luck dinner. Steak, chicken fish, and salads. All good

A member of the forum saw my thor forum sticker. She came over and spend some time with us. Of course dino and i tried to answer all her questions

I don't remember her name on the forum but her name is Barbara. Nice lady

Fun times meeting up with good friends
