18 Citation Sprinter - lighting issue

No right rear brake light. Led type. Have left rear, blinkers, lights. Does the red cover pop off? Then what? The entire inside wall is paneled. Not a fuse since I have left rear. Iím on a road trip any ideas how to fix?

As much as I love leds back in the day it was easy to replace a bulb.

I see no responses so far so lets stir the pot a little.
Sounds like you might have two problems........how to get the tail light lens cover off (I assume there are no screw heads visible on your lens cover) and then once you get the cover off, how to verify you have a bad LED lamp (or something else like corrosion perhaps). I canít really council you on either with other than guesses, but when I search the net on your coach I get the following info (which may be of no use, but......): says for 2014 to current: Note this happens to be a UK eBay site

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mercedes-...enz%7CModel%3A

If you have this style wrap around lens cover it says that it uses the following lamps:
Bulb Fitment: PY21W R5W P21W x 3 Excl. Bulb & Holder

If that is true, this is a LED lamp with bayonet base I believe times 3 in each lens unit. So if you can get the cover off I would assume you could swap one working lamp for the non working lamp to at least determine if it is a burn out that needs replacement. If this is not your lens then you can ignore my response.

Not sure how to remove the lens cover though if no screws are visible and no easy internal access to nuts holding the lens on is possible.

If it does there are 2 round plugs at each end you have to remove to get at the screws. Bad news no replaceable parts...If you have neither brake or signal lights, I would crawl underneath and check the ground wire, I had no lights and found all three wires had pulled from the connectors. i doubt the LED's are bad unless the whole circuit board is shot. There are 3 wires that go into the back of the light,,,brake, signal, ground.

I had to buy a light because I lost 2 diodes, I should have had Thor fix under warranty, but didn't want the hassle

Here is the link in case you need to buy one

Yes itís that one. So those are plugs. I wasnít sure if you needed to pry them off or not. I have turn signals and lights just not the right brake light. Leads me to believe itís a wiring issue but I only see two wires underneath. Guess Iíll be digging around further once I get that cover off. Just drill them out and thereís a bolt/screw I presume? Thanks.

Thanks also Javelin for the response.

Just a fine tip knife blade will pop them out.

Got it. Thanks. Hopefully it’s easy to troubleshoot and remedy.

WHT=gnd, BLK=running lights, RED=stop. Light tests just fine.
I found the above in a review for that product that said there were no instructions in his package.
This looks like it wouldn't have a separate turn signal light...just a combined function stop/turn light as many American autos do.
