Axis/Vegas Slideout

Can anyone tell me if their slide goes out until the wall board at the top and sides touches the outside wall or stops about a half inch from it? My DW seems to think ours used to go all the way to the outside wall with a couple of thumps when it stopped but it now has about an inch gap when it stops with no thumping sound which I think is the norm. Could someone please verify so I can win an argument for a change? Thanks.

Not sure about your coach but on mine behind the slide molding there are some strategically positioned L shaped (angle) brackets that contact the wall when the slide is fully extended. If I were to measure I believe there would be a gap of between 1/2 to 1 inch between the bracket and the molding so the molding would always appear to be away from the wall. I'm not positive on the number but I believe each slide has between 4 and 6 brackets installed.

My prior class c had a similar bracket system as well.

Ours does not go flush. Close, but not flush. Per the manual, hold the button until the slide stalls, then hold for 2 or 3 seconds longer. Do this both in and out. They say the "hold" keeps the motors in sync.

Regards,

Randy

Thanks for the info. I'm pretty sure now that it extends as far as it has in the past. Not flush.

Larry - 1; DW - probably a few thousand or more (her count)

In my case even if she is wrong she is right.

In my case we are in agreement we don't want slides, hence we'll both remain right.

Our new 2015 Vegas 24.1 has about an inch to inch and a half between wall and back of decorative board..

Haven't you learned yet -- never argue with your spouse. Being happy is way more important than being right. The second axiom I learned after 50 years of marriage is: never lie to your spouse that way you don't have to remember what you told her.

Thanks. That's like mine but had me guessing if it was not fully extended.

I'll learn one of these days; maybe...or maybe not. After 43 years one would think I should know better.

you run it out until it amps out . you will hear it amp out . hold down on the switch until you hear it and release. do the same retracting it.

It doesn't quite "amp out" in that you can't hear the motors bearing down. The controller can detect that a lot quicker than you could hear it anyway.

All of the Schwintek instructions say you should hold down the switch at full extend/retract for an extra few seconds to reset the timing: the controller counts the revolutions to keep the motors synced up.
