Yes...I agree. We've had 3 chips "repaired" on our Ford Flex. There is a fellow here in town called the Chip Doctor and he does them for $25.
It is so easy to get rock chips here in AZ. If the chip is small, the repair almost makes it invisible. We have 2 of those. Our latest was a pretty sizable chip, but we went for the repair for now. It is noticeable, but at least it will stop cracking.
We think if we get one more, or if any of the fixes fail, we'll have to get a new windshield. With summer coming, and hot weather, we're not sure how the fixes will hold.
