Toad battery disconnect options
Happy New Year!
Looking for options to disconnect the battery in our Ford Edge. We have the Stay in Play braking/light system installed. However, I don't like the battery disconnect installed at the hitch shop. It's wearing on the battery cable connection with the removal/reinstall motion, and I know there are better options. Spotted lots of alternatives, but haven't really found that "aha!" connector. Looking to see what everyone else has done, and if you can post some photos of your solution. Thanks!

2020 Chevy Spark
I use your same switch, see photos below
The only caveat is that when preparing to tow...I loosen completely, then wrap a plastic bag between knob and connecting point, then tighten back down.
(Because I was towing once and the vibration of the loosened knob caused an intermittent connection, horn would honk while driving down road )

I have a knife disconnect (Amazon) on both our Bolt and the chassis battery of our coach.
Works quite well, just have to make sure there is enough clearance around the post to be able to disconnect.

If you use this style of disconnect you should check the contact surfaces every now and again for corrosion. Just unscrew and remove the knob. I had a problem with my slide not moving even though I load tested the new battery and had 12.7V everywhere. After MUCH hair pulling and troubleshooting I discovered that this device had just enough corrosion on the contact surfaces to prevent a high draw current. Checking and cleaning is super simple but learn from my trouble! I removed mine and put a small solar system in to just keep everything charged up so even the slow internal discharge is no longer a concern. Eliminated the discharge problem altogether.

Amazon sells a relay type disconnect.
You can use a wireless remote or a toggle switch.

Yes, initially I ordered both disconnects from Amazon. I tried using the knife switch on my Spark, but could not get enough clearance

You can use Duck's suggestion or use what I put in our Colorado:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000N8IR5E
Which also supplies power to the braking system when the battery is disconnected from the vehicle.
Roadmaster also makes one for even more money.

That's a very nice well thought out kit.
Those with a bit of ability can buy almost any old Ford starter selenoid and wire it up in a few minutes as a battery disconnect
I didn't.
Able, have the parts... Didn't.

more options...
So looking around and on eTrailer, found this setup by Demco. I like the extra battery cable - as you can see, space is at a premium. Also maybe you can see the wear on the wires from taking it off and on.
