Yeah based on price of the electrical wire I have seen at Lowes, I can understand why you may not want to have it connected while driving... lot more expensive than gas :-)

So I will have my breaker box installed in convenient location so the shore cord is out of harms way or normal walking around the house or garage.

Given the above I now will focus on which box. Some of the boxes don't close fully; so is there a situation where it get wet and a ground faults trips the breaker?

I am looking at the standard shore cord that comes with Thor 2018 ACE 29.3 it is 50 amp RV, but if I ever were to get a 30 amp RV, I would use an adapter, but it may not close then either; even if the latter would close with the 50amp
