I use to tow a jeep with out any protection except the factory mud flaps. When I got to where I was going the whole front end was covered in road trash. first thing I would have to do is clean the windshield. I added a mud flap that runs across the back about 6 inches from the ground. It works and the car we were towing doesn't get near as much road crap on the front end.
