My 2017 ACE doesn't have louvers on the heater cover door, but that didn't prevent water from getting in. Water would get under the control board (mounted horizontally on a plastic shelf) and short out the pins.

The foam that Atwood uses on the door doesn't seal anything. I found some rubber weatherstrip that would fit in the groove the door fits in and now I'm water tight. I drilled some holes in the shelf to drain any water that might still get in and shimmed the board up a bit. Atwood will provide a control board relocation kit, but that involved a trip to CW because they won't ship one to an owner (only authorized service locations). My fix seems to be working.
