Joined this afternoon after getting help from other RV'ers to push my slide in, then later out again. I'm so tired of Hurricane slide-outs!
We are Full-timers, this was to be our home and life. If this 2011 Hurricane 31D wasn't built on a Ford platform I would't trust any of it.
Had one slide with broken shaft and stripped gear repaired. Other slide was said to be tip-top. Now in Texas for Winter and the other side failed, same broken gear teeth and bent shaft. We'll find a mobile RV repair service. No sense bothering Thor.
Thank goodness for the camaraderie of fellow rv'ers, once there is no drive gears left, you can push slides in and out.
We gave up a Gulf Stream for this and I would go back in a heart beat. It is an old, tried and true company that makes a limited line of quality products.
Anyone still shopping? I would suggest a thorough evaluation of Gulf Stream.
When you have decided, don't go to General RV.
