De-winterizing

Just an update from last fall's discussion on winterizing. This was the first time I winterized by ONLY blowing out the lines...even the ice maker. After draining all lines through low point valves and blowing out all faucets, hot water heater and toilet, I allowed the ice make to run until it made no more ice. The ice maker couldn't tell the difference between water and air as far as pressure. The last cycle with actual ice only had one small cube. The final cycle (you could hear it run) made no ice at all.

This process worked perfectly and made it very easy to refill and sanitize the lines.

Anyway, I make no guarantees this will work for you, but it was very simple to do.

Oh, yes...I also added the pink stuff to all the drains...took a 1/2 gallon to do it all.
